Story
A project of two, António Antunes and Marta Neto, with the oenologist António Maçanita alongside them from the very first harvest.

“We believe a defect can be a virtue.”

Oenology
António Maçanita
From the beginning, Rumo has been shaped alongside António Maçanita, one of Portugal's most restless oenologists. He has been part of the project since its first year, reading each parcel on its own terms and guiding it toward clarity, never over it.
— alongside Rumo since the first harvest
Origin
Rumo is a project built by two, António Antunes and Marta Neto. It began in the Alentejo with a simple idea: to make wines that tell the truth of a specific place, in a specific year.

The Land
Old vines on small plots, on poor granite and schist soils where the vines struggle and yields are naturally low. "Quality is not a target; it is a consequence."

Dry-farming
Certified integrated production, moving steadily toward organic. We dry-farm (sequeiro) because the Alentejo has always taught its vines to reach for water rather than wait for it.
The Cellar
In the cellar we intervene as little as possible: spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, patient élevage, respect for what each parcel gives. Oenology signed by António Maçanita.
